The company subsequently bought a farm in Woodstock, Connecticut; the building in Deerfield, once home to a publishing company; a facility overlooking Cape Cod Bay in Sandwich; and the entire Tewksbury Country Club. While Tree House Brewing Company is known for its always-busy facility in the central Massachusetts town of Charlton (and is becoming increasingly known for its unusual outlet at a golf course in Tewksbury), its location in South Deerfield is like nothing else out there, almost like a museum to all things beer. Tree House is honored to occupy the bucolic stretch along Routes 5 &10 for Deerfield. We will add value to the experience of visiting the area by creating a centralized space for community and spirit where friends and families can unite to the taste of artfully crafted beverages and revel in the arts so central to life our sliver of the world. We would be happy to exchange or issue a refund for any unwashed and unworn items within 90 days of purchase.

The brewing company has grown a cult following over the years after opening in Brimfield in 2011 before moving to Monson and operating at Koran Farm. In 2017, the brewery moved its operation to a 55,000 square foot brewery in Charlton and has continued to grow without pause. Tree House plans to open the Deerfield location by mid- to late-winter of 2021 for can sales and, pending the status of the coronavirus pandemic, open fully next summer. Every business day, WBJ Daily Report will be delivered to your inbox by noon. It provides a daily update of the area’s most important business news. As part of our initial outreach, we are inviting community makers and creators to participate in a charitable undertaking whereby Tree House will purchase an artful good to be raffled to our guests, with 100% of the proceeds being donated to local charitable organizations.
Location specific info:
Please double check your junk folder for this information. While we cannot guarantee delivery times, most orders will arrive within 2-3 business days from the date of shipment. Come see us and check out our exclusive in-store merchandise, or order from our online store and have it shipped. We also have a limited selection of merch for purchase on our main location ordering pages - it will be ready to go with your beer when you arrive. Parking will be handled at Tree House’s 282 parking spaces on site, with overflow parking available at the Yankee Candle flagship store’s 500-plus parking spots.
Proxies are OK, but the order must be within the same time slot as your own. We cannot accomodate you picking up someone else's order who has a different time slot. The reason for this is we prepare your order in advance and accomodating changes such as this would risk delays to our guests. Generally, the later you arrive, the shorter your wait. Thursday - Saturday you may encounter a line, but again, it varies by the day and by availability. It's easy - pre-purchased draft tickets are no longer required.

Thus far, Tree House Western Mass employs 44 individuals, including our taproom manager and assistant taproom managers. We carry a great deal of pride to bring well-paying jobs to the Deerfield community now and in the future as we grow and evolve. In fact, we recommend visiting it purely as a beer to go destination for now given it's efficiency and excellent selection. Guests may order pizza inside the brewery at the pizza kiosk. We'll text you when your order is ready and your pizza will be hot and ready for you. Like any reservation, we can only serve you during the alloted time selected on your order.

Shuttle services will be provided by Tree House for folks parking in the overflow lot. Brewery staff will park at Yankee Candle’s corporate offices and events will be scheduled to not interfere with Yankee Candle’s hours of operation. Among the security and safety details the company agreed to adhere to were ensuring there is enough space for large emergency vehicles to turn around in, holding a pre-event security meeting with staff and the Deerfield police officer, and the prohibition of tailgating.
Live reviews
The brewery, located off Routes 5 and 10, has 10 concerts tentatively scheduled for this spring and summer. The business has been operating for more than a year with a 500-patron occupancy limit. While there have been few, if any, official noise complaints made to the town, the Selectboard did note there were several comments posted on social media, along with a couple residents who aired concerns Wednesday evening. If the company does not receive approval for the curb cut from the state, it is expected to articulate in its plan how it would handle so many people leaving the venue without causing crippling traffic.
Echoing the comments made by Swasey, his fellow board members and the Tree House representatives, Trevor McDaniel said he’d vote to approve the occupancy increase Wednesday night, but only on the condition that the emergency action plan is endorsed by the public safety departments. If the company doesn’t get the signatures, he said, then it will continue to operate at a 1,500-person capacity. While the top request listed by each department is an updated emergency action plan — and asking that it be a “living document” that is updated over time — the Police Department is also requesting the company look into getting a second driveway on Routes 5 and 10 to alleviate traffic at the end of large events. That sort of request also brings the state Department of Transportation into the fold, as any sort of change to Routes 5 and 10 requires the agency’s approval.
Each location of Tree House has a different feel to it, and the fact that the Deerfield facility is housed in an office building could have caused it to have a generic feel. Instead, it’s something unique, because of all the thought that was put into its design. Starting out as a tiny operation in Brimfield in 2011, then moving to space in nearby Monson a couple of years later, Tree House really hit its stride once it opened a new location in Charlton in 2017 and people from Boston (and elsewhere) soon started making the trek to wait in long lines to stock up on a month’s worth of beer. In addition to beer, the brewery began roasting its own coffee in 2019 and partnered with Worcester’s Crust Artisan Bakeshop to offer pastry and bakery items in its retail shop.
The Deerfield Selectboard gave its conditional approval Wednesday night, which hinges on signatures from the town health agent and building inspector, as well as the police, fire and EMS chiefs. Once approved, the popular brewery will be allowed to host up to 5,000 patrons — an increase from 1,500 — for outdoor concerts and other special events, such as its annual half-marathon. The parking lot will remain its original size and the company will again work with neighbors, like Yankee Candle, for satellite lots and shuttle/bus routes.
Draft pours are only good on the day of purchase and are non-refundable. There is a limit of 3 pours per person per day at all locations. We have found that most guests try to pick up their order early in the day - if you plan to arrive 60 minutes or less before the end of the pickup window it is generally quiet, even on holidays and busy days. Tree House Brewing Regulatory Specialist Allison Masley and Chief Growth Officer Sarah Maggi Morin said in their presentation to the board that the company is seeking to expand its capacity to draw in different musical acts and larger crowds, which could then bolster the economic impact the business already brings to town. SOUTH DEERFIELD — Tree House Brewing Co. has been given the go-ahead to more than triple its occupancy for the upcoming season, pending public safety officials’ approval of an emergency action plan. The Deerfield site includes a nearly 100,000-square-foot building on 40 acres, with a location not far from I-91.
But Tree House holds its own when it comes to other beer styles. Its Double Shot stout is a great example, having a near-perfect mix of chocolate and coffee flavors, and the Bear With A Hint Of Coffee is another great choice for those who love coffee-flavored beers. As mentioned earlier, Tree House has made a name for itself partly because of its hazy and citrusy New England IPAs, including some specific beers that are often mentioned as among the best in the nation (Julius is perhaps its best-known, while others include Green and King Julius). These IPAs are very different from your typical West Coast IPAs, which tend to be bitter and intense, and the versions that Tree House puts out are typically even juicier and less bitter than some of the other New England IPAs out there. Breweries come in all shapes and sizes, from basement businesses to single rooms where the owner might be pouring beers for customers to restaurants that just happen to include beermaking operations. Tree House Brewing Co. turned heads Thursday amidst a presidential election with the announcement of a new waterfront taproom on Cape Cod.
Unsurprisingly, the people behind the brewery have been influenced by both New Haven-style pizza and New York City-style pizza, and it shows. The charred, blistered, bubbly crust; the crispiness on the bottom and chewiness on the top; the mix of shredded and grated cheeses; and the use of seasonal, locally sourced ingredients all make for pies that may just bring some people here not for the beer but the pizza. Seating is a mix of low-top tables and high-tops that use barrels as tables. A counter for ordering beer is on one side while a counter for ordering pizza (more on this in a bit) is on the other, while a large patio is set up just outside the taproom. The walkway at Tree House eventually leads to the taproom, which sits far below and looks more like a cafeteria in a corporate building, complete with indoor plants, a little fish pond (yes, a fish pond), and an airy vibe thanks to its soaring ceiling and abundance of light coming in through its many windows.
